Post everything here guys!
Hey everyone, deatheven here, I've been playing a lot of Call of Duty: Black Ops lately, mainly because of some friend's of mine we've been owning the enemy in "one in the chamber", "gun game" and combat training matches ;D well I have, My brother's girlfriend and my friend.. let's just say they're KIA XD
Re: Post everything here guys!
Deatheven that doesn't surprise his girlfriend is rather terrible at that game I've been playing a lot of Minecraft recently, getting into mischief and peril with WarlordJames, and console wise Gears of War 3. Which by the way is an amazing game

Completed two games recently: Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and Halo: Combat Evolved, both for PC.
Re: Post everything here guys!
Well I've written a review of Halo, you can find it here: http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/action/halo/player_review.html?id=776098&tag=all-about%3Breview1 if you want to know some more. Call of Juarez I haven't reviewed yet, but if you're into epic, action-packed, first person, western epics then I highly recommend it.deatheven wrote:nice, how are those games?

Ok, finished Gears of War 3 which was fantastic, and have now began playing Morrowind From what I've seen this game looks amazing.

Gears 3 - I thought you'd say something like that about it; looks very fun. And I'm gonna have to shamefully confess that (although I have spent many, many, many hours on it) I have never completed Morrowind. I got the GOTY edition, so I spent a crapload of time not just in Morrowind but on the frosty island of Solstheim as well with just one character. I can't remember why I stopped playing as him, it was really fun, even if very hard at times (he was a Dark Elf badass btw). Then when I started downloading mods after playing the game for so long (like I do with all of Bethesda's games), I found this fantastic mod that adds the Yautja (Predator from movies & comics) race and even gives you a whole questline to complete as a predator, with a ton of new equipment and weaponry from the Predator's deadly arsenal.Servannus wrote:Ok, finished Gears of War 3 which was fantastic, and have now began playing Morrowind From what I've seen this game looks amazing.
So this brought me back to the game, but at some point I sold a very important quest item (for the main game, not the mod). xD I guess I haven't been able to jump back into the game with the other character ever since, because new games keep popping up and older ones I've missed. I think I should play it again. One of the reasons why I'm so excited for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (apart from the fact that it's a new Elder Scrolls game) is that the snowy & icy setting in the province of Skyrim brings back fond memories of back when I still a low-level character in Morrowind, having just arrived in Solstheim, broke & hungry, trying to survive the heavy weather, visit the halls and villages of the Nords as well as the ice-covered land in the North. Ahh... the good old days.

Yes those good old days of yours were, in fact, extremely painful and werewolfy I tried and now you have the death of my lvl 7 orc on your head...

Trust me... you'll miss this unforgiving difficulty. I bet Skyrim will be very easy - suited for the young gamers of this generation who are raised on MW and Halo.Servannus wrote:Yes those good old days of yours were, in fact, extremely painful and werewolfy I tried and now you have the death of my lvl 7 orc on your head...
Re: Post everything here guys!
Are you implying Halo was easy? Sir i challenge you to complete Halo 1 or two on legendary difficulty ;D

Re: Post everything here guys!
Of course Halo can be challenging on the higher difficulties... Now go play Morrowind or Devil May Cry 3 - the original version, since they had to re-release it to make it easier because people found it so ridiculously hard. Play them on the easiest difficulty. Even better, play (a newer game that is very old-school) Demon's Souls... without dying. You can't, not a single person has because the game was designed for the player to die many times and learn - that's why most people just leave it and smash their controllers. What I meant is that most of the gamers of today are raised on multiplayer games, such as the Call of Duty and Halo series. The MP of those games is ridiculously easy and one can become masterful at it in just a few days. Only around a week of two after getting WaW, I was already at the very top on score lists at the end of most matches. Now I wouldn't mind if boys & girls of today played Red Orchestra - a multiplayer game that actually requires skill. Treat this game like CoD... you will die. xD I wish they'd just start mixing difficulty between old and new games. Dark Souls is too hard; Call of Duty is too easy, etc.deatheven wrote:Are you implying Halo was easy? Sir i challenge you to complete Halo 1 or two on legendary difficulty ;D
Re: Post everything here guys!
i see what you mean, Halo multiplayer is only challenging when everyone playing is good, which then requires people to use skill and tactics. If the enemy is bad then you don't. But Call of duty is always easy and i know about DMC 3, that must have been hard XD not for me though, i shall complete it.. if i had it

Hey guys, I've been switching between Castlevania: lords of shadows and Brink. They're both really good but i'm nearly at breaking point with brink i started it on the hardest difficulty and it's insanely hard, not because of health or damage but because i can't complete the level in the allotted time. but oh well that's just me xD

That's why I start on easy or normal with almost all games I get.Omatrent wrote:They're both really good but i'm nearly at breaking point with brink i started it on the hardest difficulty and it's insanely hard
Re: Post everything here guys!
it looks fun though at least XD i've been playing Halo: combat evolved with crimsonwolf, first time and it's actually really confusing and idk the buttons
Re: Post everything here guys!
I recommend changing them for the best way to suit your play-style. The first time I played Combat Evolved I found the controls very unusual, so I changed them around a bit and it's much easier now.deatheven wrote:it looks fun though at least XD i've been playing Halo: combat evolved with crimsonwolf, first time and it's actually really confusing and idk the buttons

Same. Thankfully though, when I'm playing on my PS3, the controls usually don't need changing which is great - since I'd die without being able to change around what I don't like. xDServannus wrote:I can never play a game without moving a few keys around

Likewise for my 360, however I need to crank up sensitivity in order to play any fps

I hate my sensitivity low, or high, i like it fast enough to move without doing a 360 in less than a second -_-

Personally, I don't mind the sensitivity being a little low for singleplayer in games like the Killzone series; it gives you a sense of realism just by changing the movement speed and style of the camera that few FPS games seem to try. However, when it's for multiplayer in KZ, then turning it up to a little higher is a must for me.deatheven wrote:I hate my sensitivity low, or high, i like it fast enough to move without doing a 360 in less than a second -_-
Re: Post everything here guys!
Well good point there, for me it really depends on what game I'm on But I never like it too high like Deatheven said; but medium to high sensitivity is good for me.
